Slightly
New
Name...
Same
Great
Care!
by
Lou
Zollo,
MSPT
I
usually
write
a
short
health
update
in
this
part
of
the
newsletter
but
there
are
a
few
new
changes
at
our
facility
that
I
want
to
share.
We
opened
Manchester
Sports
Medicine
7
years
ago
to
provide
the
very
best
physical
therapy
services
to
patients
in
this
area.
Recently,
the
state
of
NH
has
asked
us
to
change
our
name
slightly
to
more
accurately
reflect
what
we
do.
As
we
don't
have
a
'medical
doctor'
on
staff
or
prescribe
medications,
they
asked
us
to
remove
the
word
'medicine'
from
our
name
which
we
have
now
done.
Our
new
name
is
Manchester
Sports
and
Physical
Therapy.
Nothing
else
has
changed.
We
are
still
located
at
50
Bridge
St
in
Manchester,
our
phone
number
is
still
603-665-9222
and
most
of
all
Jason
and
I
will
continue
to
provide
the
best
physical
therapy
care
in
the
area.
I
am
disappointed
in
the
fact
that
I
have
to
change
the
name,
but
it
is
only
a
name,
and
the
real
reason
people
come
to
our
clinic
is
for
the
exceptional
care
and
customer
service
that
we
provide.
So
don't
be
confused
if
you
call
the
office
or
go
to
the
website
www.manchsportspt.com
and
notice
the
new
name,
that
is
the
only
thing
that
has
changed.
We
will
be
here
to
provide
any
and
all
physical
therapy
services
that
you
or
your
family
members
may
need.
If
you
have
any
questions
or
would
like
to
speak
with
either
Jason
or
myself,
our
email
address
is
lou@manchsportspt.com
and
Jason@manchsportspt.com.
Sincerely,
Louie

Ask
the
Physical
Therapist
I
received
physical
therapy
a
few
years
ago
in
Florida.
My
doctor
recommended
I
see
a
physical
therapist
for
my
elbow
pain.
He
injected
my
elbow
with
an
anti
inflammatory
medication
and
sent
me
to
therapy.
My
elbow
gradually
got
better
over
the
next
few
months.
However
it's
acting
up
again!
I
didn't
have
a
great
experience
at
therapy
the
first
time
and
really
don't
want
to
return.
The
place
was
way
too
busy
and
I
never
saw
the
same
therapist.
They
didn't
even
know
my
name.
Can
I
just
do
my
exercises
at
home
and
skip
therapy
all
together?
Thank
you;
GF,
Auburn
NH
Dear
GF:
Thank
you
for
your
question.
First
let
me
start
by
saying
that
I
am
sorry
that
you
didn't
have
a
positive
experience
in
therapy.
Not
all
physical
therapy
facilities
and
not
all
physical
therapists
are
created
equal.
I
would
not
go
back
to
the
site
you
described
in
your
question
either.
I
can
assure
you
that
at
MSPT
we
have
a
stake
in
making
sure
that
your
care
is
top
notch.
We
go
out
of
our
way
to
ensure
you
get
the
proper
level
of
care.
We
do
not
take
your
business
for
granted
and
act
accordingly.
Some
larger
intuitions
tend
to
become
very
busy
and
overwhelmed
with
their
patient
volume
and
that's
reflected
in
the
quality
of
care
they
deliver.
Now
on
to
your
elbow
pain!
Because
this
is
a
reoccurring
long
standing
injury
I
would
recommend
that
you
receive
medical
clearance
prior
to
starting
therapy.
Medical
clearance
may
reveal
underlying
pathology
that
may
exist.
If
you
do
not
have
a
medical
provider
we
can
refer
you
to
one.
In
conjunction
with
your
medical
provider,
we
can
determine
if
physical
therapy
is
the
right
intervention
for
you.
If
it
is
we
would
have
to
perform
a
thorough
evaluation
to
determine
the
underlying
cause
of
your
elbow
pain
before
we
prescribed
any
interventions.
We
would
also
need
to
review
your
previous
exercises
to
determine
if
they
were
still
appropriate
for
your
condition
at
this
time.
So
hold
off
on
doing
those
old
exercises
for
now.
Feel
free
to
give
us
a
call
with
any
further
questions.
